Why did you become interested in your sport?
I have always wanted to be a muscular female. It was a dream/desire I had even as a young child, although I had no outside influence or inspiration (didn't read muscle mags or know comic book heroines or follow sports of any kind). Eventually I discovered bodybuilding as a teen & knew that was what I had always wanted to do!
Are there any other physical activities you enjoy to stay fit?
Hiking,
Used to teach cardio kickboxing
Something someone wouldn't know about you:
Up to my 1st competition (2001) I was a strict vegan for 10+ years. I ate red meat for 2007 Nationals for the 1st time in 22 years!
How long have you been training?
Off & on since high school
What was your first show like?
I was nervous, anxious, excited, timid. I entered 5 divisions and trophied in each in the last year of a top quality Mid-USA/NM state competition. It was one of the best experiences of my life and encouraged me to continue.
What do you like and dislike about competing?
Like - Through the years seeing continual significant progress and watching the physique I had always imagined blossoming. Through competition prep watching daily changes in physique & seeing how the hard work over the year has paid off.
Dislike - Constant state of starvation in contest prep. The frustration of the politics.
What are your goals in the sport?
To become a pro & then qualify to at least stand on the Olympia stage, along with the very best in the sport, just once. To represent the sport proudly & professionally.

Anything you'd like to add to your profile that we haven't asked?
I'd like to continue to represent female bodybuilding in a positive, professional way by showing that women can be strong, muscular, sexy & feminine while being successful, intelligent & independent without having to be sexual objects.
